We just found out we're having a boy. We're very excited but have always struggled with boys names. Our daughter is Charlotte Louise, known as Lottie. We'd like our son to have a short version of his name too. Our surname is 2 syllables & ends in -er, so I'm not keen on names that end in -er/a sound.

All ideas welcome please!

Samuel
Theodore
Benjamin
Dominic
Zachary
Tobias

Your daughters name is quite classic so thought these might go and all have nice nicknames. I'm sure there's more but I can't think!

I thought of Theodore right away as well, I think Charlotte & Theodore/Lottie & Theo sound adorable.

Other suggestions:
Oliver (Ollie)
Alexander (Alex)
Frederick (Freddie)
Edward (Eddie)
William (Will)
Elijah (Eli)

Must say i love the name charlotte, and my boys are Alexander, William and Andrew xxx

Edward (nn Eddie / Ted)
Finlay
Lucas
Samuel (nn Sam)
Alfie
Louis
Hugo
Benjamin
Albert (nn Albie)

Completely forgot I'd posted this (baby brain!!!) so excited to come back & find all these suggestions, thank you!

I love Benjamin, DH doesn't. I need to work on him! Lottie & Theo is very cute, but most of DH's family can't/don't pronounce 'th' so would call him Fee-o, which would annoy me! I love William, Samuel & Alex but they are already taken by close family members/friends.

Lottie & Charlie sounds really sweet!

Charles (Charlie)
Joseph (Joe/Joey)
Nathaniel (Nate)
Henry (Harry)
Arthur (Arty)
Sebastian (Seb)
Jacob (Jake)
Edward (Teddy)

I love Benjamin too, definitely one to work on with DH :)
