I just wanted to share an experience I had a couple days ago. I hope to help anyone in a similar situation.
I felt a small "gush" before church on Sunday and when I used the toilet, there was some brown spotting. I hadn't had any spotting until then. My heart dropped. I also had mild lower back pain the entire day. DH and I prepared ourselves to hear bad news.
I monitored my discharge all of Sunday. It varied between brown and yellowish.
I saw the doctor on Monday. The baby was fine (thank God!). The doc said the colored discharge may be an infection. I'm waiting to hear back on the results still.
To any other women who are worried about spotting: Even if it's light, see you doctor. I read that its normal and as long as it's brown no need to worry, but if it is an infection you will want to get that treated asap.
