Brown Spotting.. Advice please

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced brown spotting in early pregnancy?

I have heard that a few days are normal and likely implantation bleeding, but as you can see from my chart, mine has been since ovulation day, so started before i even conceived. I was on a clomid cycle but this has never happened before. We have been TTC for 2 years and never had a BFP.

The spotting is brown and mainly only there when i wipe but it is not stopping.

I got a strong BFP 2 days ago and 2-3 weeks on a clear blue digital so the spotting didnt stop me getting pregnant, but it cant be a good sign can it?

I had brown discharge from weeks 5 to 15 in my first pregnancy and everything was fine. I had it in my second pregnancy from week 6 until it turned brick red at 10 weeks where it was found I'd miscarried at 6 weeks so it really can go either way.

If you're at all concerned then go see your doctor or EPAU and have it checked out

Thanks for your stories minibump, its reassuring to know that you had it in your healthy pregnancy as well. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I have spoken to the fertility clinic and my own GP about the blood and both just say wait it out and see what happens. They say there is nothing they can do until they scan me at 7 weeks. Waiting is so hard.

I had brown spotting off and on from weeks 5 to 9 or so. Little one is now 25 weeks along, and all looks well. : )

I'm sure it is completely fine (my doc told me brown blood=old blood, and usually not a problem.) But, it never hurts to double check with your doctor. That is what they are there for! Praying all is well with your little bean! : )

I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant and I had brown spotting at 4 weeks. As long as it's brown it's really not too worrisome. It could be old blood left over from implantation.

It could be one of those bleeds that a lot of women have close to the uterus - generally nothing to worry about but can result in brown blood or even a small clot

Thank you everyone, Just to update this thread for anyone who is wondering what happened, I am currently having an early miscarriage. The spotting increased and my HCG levels and basal temperature dropped, I am now waiting for AF to start properly
