Brown spotting at 8W + 2D ??

Hi all....

Ok....so here I sit....with some brown spotting tonight. I'm just trying to take a deep breath. I discovered some on my underwear when I went to pee (so it's enough to be going on for the last hour or so) and then more on the tissue. I've gone to the bathroom 3 more times...and I'm still getting some light brown spotting each time. I recently started the blood thinner Lovenox...but I haven't heard of this being a symptom. My understanding is that it is too late at this stage to be implantation bleeding....and that this is not a good sign. Anyone else have this happen and it not be the worst that I am imagining?

I do have a scan already scheduled for tomorrow morning....so I will not have to wait....thank God.

I know how stressful this is and I am so sorry you are going through it. I had SO much spotting, like every day from week 5-13, and still have on and off spotting. I also had bleeding. It can be perfectly fine. You won't know til your scan, but when I went in with spotting and told the doctor, neither doctor was concerned. They checked on me, but both doctors said it can be common, you just have to check to see what it is . They were much more concerned about my bleeding. Mine was most likely coming from my cervix, as it fills with blood and becomes sensitive during pregancy. Good luck to you and try to to think the worst, it really could be harmless!

I had brown spotting at about 16 weeks and the MW's were not too worried....apparently brown blood is not so worrying as red.
My MW checked the HB to confirm all was ok which was reassuring and the last scan showed all to be ok.
Try not to panic too much and rest if you can. My bleeding stopped after I laid on the sofa for an entire weekend.

Thank you all for all your kind thoughts. It's still going on a little bit this morning....so I can't help but worry. I leave for the scan in a half hour...so at least I won't have to wait to find our what is going on.

How did you get on?
I had this too at 8 weeks and had a 10mm haemorrhage. I had to take it a bit easy, not bend or lift ,etc and then go back for a check up scan 2 weeks later by which time it had disappeared.

Very sad day and heartbroken. Baby has passed on at 8 weeks - no more heartbeat.

Very sorry for your loss. I saw your initial thread and that's how all 3 of my miscarriages started. I was hoping for the best for you, because as you can see, spotting doesn't always lead to something bad.
