Bruise under toenail

Hi, my daughter has a black bruise under her toenail right at the bottom of the nail, was purple but gone a dark purple / blackish colour. Anything to worry about or do I just wait for it to go

It's the same as any other bruise - it will get better! If it's small it'll just fade away as all bruises too, if it's a really big fella her nail might fall off and then grow back, but you do not need to do anything about it, either way, very minor. The body will take care of it. Absolutely no need to worry.

Thankyou, I was hoping I was completely over reacting again!, I wouldn't say the bruise was big, prob the same shape as what your cuticle would be on your finger nail. Thanks again

Nail bruises do take a long while to heal but don't require you to do anything. If the nail bed is damaged then it may cause her nail to fall off and not grow again but that takes a fair bit of trauma to do that. I dropped a full bottle of juice on my foot and have a blue bruise on at my nail bed, been there about 6 months and gradually it's fading x
