Buddies & Advice?

Hey guys!

I am super new here but I could really use some buddies and advice on my journey since although I have a great support system they don't really understand the situation I'm in. And I'm getting to the point where I am just frustrated and feel hopeless.

Husband and I have been trying for 6 months unsuccessfully now and today marks CD 1 for month #7. I am overweight and have been walking and eating healthy a lot these last months in order to loose weight and hopefully help in conceiving. Also have been using OPKs for the last two months, although I hate them and feel like they trick me a lot.

Other than that, what advice do you have? Any natural ways to help increase my chances?

Idk if I can offer advice but I would like to join you on this journey. My husband and I have been trying for 9 cycles. We too are frustrated and feeling hopeless. He is getting a sperm analysis done and I am getting an ultrasound done. I am CD 6 today.

Also CD 6! Sounds like we're in the same boat. My doc put me on progesterone and if it doesn't work we have to see the fertility specialist which I am dreading! What all have you tried?

We have tried the whole having sex every other day.....nothing. Every day when able to......nothing. I started taking vitamin b complex with my prenatal.....nothing. Used OPK.......nothing. Stopped using OPK........nothing. My doctor didn't seem to concerned until I told her my mom had a hysterectomy at 28 and I will be 28 in 17 days. That got her attention! So ultrasound on Monday and I have tried calling the place for semen analysis twice and no one is calling me back......totally irritated.

It's so frustrating! We've been actively trying for 6 months but before that not really preventing either for another 6-8 months. Late you ovulating?

We've been trying since December. We had a chemical pregnancy in February. Since that's all the luck we had our OB wanted to move forward. According to the OPK I do ovulate. The time between my period and ovulation varies. Could be 2 weeks, could be 4 weeks. But I always get my period 2 weeks after I ovulate.

Well it sounds like you're on the right track. Hopefully it'll be our time soon! When do you both go to the doc?

No set date yet. I have to get his sperm analysis stuff set up first. At least they are giving him the option to collect at home lol He seems more comfortable with that. My mom bought me that Fertilitea stuff. Have you heard of that?

That's where she got it from. From what I've seen women swear by it. I haven't tried it yet. Still waiting for mine to come in.

I may have to try that next cycle. A lot of people swear by black cohosh so I'm trying that right now.

I haven't heard of that. That might be next on my list. I started taking a vitamin b complex last cycle. I looked at preconception vitamins and all they had in them was b6 and b12. A general b complex was cheaper.

Hey I read somewhere that b complex can delay ovulation. Not sure if it's true or not but thought you should know since you said you were taking it. Maybe do some research on it.

Doesn't taste too bad, put a little honey in it and it tastes pretty good. My OBGYN acted like I didn't really need to take it so I haven't been taking it every day.

CD12. I've been taking OPK tests every other day to see if I can get a jump start on ovulation. I usually have pains but honestly I don't know where at in the ovulation cycle that I get those pains. Had my ultrasound today. DH has his sperm analysis on Friday. Anything new going on with you?

Nothing! I'm on CD 14. Stopped the black cohosh on CD 12 and start the progesteron on Saturday. So lots of BDing this week, except hubby doesn't seem too into it... So that sucks.
