Hey Ladies!

Has anyone heard anything about the effects of burning pressure treated wood around pregnant women?
Hubby and I enjoy have evening fires in the yard or when camping and we have a load of scrap pressure treated wood from the construction of our deck that we can burn, but I thought I heard the chemicals are BAD, which makes sense.

Just wondering if anyone else has heard??

Thanks :)

Didn't want to r&r bu I ain't got a clue sorry xxx

I am pretty sure the chemical used to treat wood are very toxic....and being burnt would be toxic smoke......
I would stay away to be safe......maybe go and buy normal firewood....
same with 2nd hand cig smoke......I am soooo paranoid i stay away from everything.......
don't get my started on bug spray!!! haha

We occasionally burn small scraps of pressure treated wood here, too, just to get rid of it. We don't sit around the fire, and we definitely don't cook over the fire when we do, though! Not even before I was pregnant - don't want to be breathing in the chemicals (chromium, copper, and arsenic) they use to treat the wood!
