Burning sensation in side of breast - normal??

Hi ladies,

My boobs have been blissfully fine throughout the past 18 weeks...lol, just a bit bigger, which DH loves and I can live with!

But last night, I woke up with a sort of searing, stinging pain on the outside of my left breast, and it was SO painful! It has continued on and off for most of today, and I can't stand it. I'm just starting to feel it a little on my right one too, unfortunately.

Is this normal? I'm guessing it's just hormonal changes, or them getting ready for milk production. But since it's my first pregnancy, I wanted to ask if any of you have this or have had it before. Not sure if it's worth bringing up at my MW appointment next week. Thanks!

I had that a few weeks back, but it was with my nipples, mostly my left one. I'd put on my bra, and it'd start to hurt, so I'd have to sit with my boob hanging out off my bra for about 10 minutes until it stopped. I think it was just the changes and growth that was causing it. Haven't felt it for a while ... knock on wood !

If it gets too painful, I'd go see your doctor, just in case it's not something worse.
