Someone told me about a website where women sell there unused injections. Since the cost of the drugs is so expensive I did look and found a women in my state selling her leftover menopur at a really great price. Has anyone ever purchased there injections this way?? I guess I feel alittle scared about doing this but it will save so much money

i will be scare to do that...really don't know if someone dose and drugs will be the same for my body...

You would need to get ALL the information and then speak to your doctor about EXACTLY what they have and if it is something that will work for you.

I will actually be doing this as DH and I met a nice lady who has a bunch of IVF drugs she didn't use.

Good luck!

I would check with your doctor first. If he / she is happy that the drugs you are thinking of buying are safe for you to use, then I don't see a problem. Also check whether there is a use by date on the meds. Some drugs need to be kept refrigerated and then used within 28 days of first use. So check this as well, as you don't want to buy drugs that are cheap but find they don't work.

Good luck

Hi, don't mean to lecture or anything but I would definately not buy medicine in this way. I have always been told and I trully believe that you should only use medicine that is prescribed for you and that you have purchased from a reputable pharmacy. You have to make sure that you don't have an allergic reaction to it and also that the expiry date is ok. I would definately steer clear.

Echoing what the others have said, you need to say to your doctor if youre going to try them.
Menopur needs to be monitored as the dosages need to be tailored to you, i had to have a high dose of it to work for me but the dose i had could be dangerous for someone else.

There are so many reasons why it is a bad idea. 1) I don't think it's legal. I could be wrong but, isn't this tantamount to drug dealing? 2) People prey on the weakness of others. How do you even know what you are being sold? Its not like you can test it for chemicals. Some sick fucker might sell you a placebo, nothing but salt water, because they know you are desperate and 3) There are reasons why you go to a doctor whilst seeking fertility treatment and that is to be monitored.

Also - buying INJECTIONS? How do you know if the needles are safe and clean? How do you know where they have been or if they have even been used before?

Very, very silly idea.

I was told by my pharmacist that if you need to use an Gonal-F injection pen within 30 days. So don't buy pens that are half used. Also ditto on checking with doctor.

I would never purchase from an individual unless they were someone I know. However, I will be purchasing my medication from an online pharmacy as they are much cheaper than the pharmacies locally.
