C-section and baby wearing?

Hi all, I am booked for a C-section (for medical reasons) May 26th. I am wondering about the healing time and how long until I will be able to start wearing baby on a sling. Has anyone had experience with this?

Took me a good six weeks to feel comfotable wearing the moby and ava, its a bit easier each time, shes only 8 weeks!

I started wearing baby for short periods in a sling at 5 days old. It will all depend on you and how you feel.

Thanks ladies! I'm all set with a couple of slings, I'll give myself 4-5 days to heal before attempting anything, then see how it goes Even if it's just for a half hour a few times a day, I'd like to get it started ASAP...

I dont think I would have been comfy enough to start that soon but I'm 8 weeks now and very comfy using my close parent wrap.

I was using a sling quite early, it was less painful than pushing a pram

ive started already at like 8 days afterwards but just short periods of time with a wrap
