C-section pre-op assessment?

Just wondering if any of you ladies who had a planned c-section had the pre-op assessment on the day of the section?

i have my c-section booked for the 20th and have been asked to come in for 7am...will they do the pre-op assessment then because i haven't been told to come in any day before that?

That doesn't sound right to me hun. At a pre-op they'll swab you for MRSA etc and talk things through. I'd give them a call and ask them about it. It's good to be able to talk about any concerns and know exactly whats going to happen before hand, not just on the day xx

I had pre-op on the friday and c-section monday morning.

They just talked things over. There was a table to take the night before and maybe the morning of the c-section.

We went in on the monday at 7am-we just hung about waiting - didnt get into theatre til 10.30, Anna was born at 10.43!!!!! It was an amazing day!
