c section - princess royal glasgow

Hey I have a c section booked sooo scared about it as this is my first, baby is breech. does anyone have any experience of this hospital and elective c sections? also they have booked me in for a pre opp assessment, does anyone know what happens here? and I have the ante natal clinic before the c section lol doesnt make sense I thought it would be ante natal, then pre opp then c section.

Also how long are you in hospital for and parents keep moaning at me to find out about parking, visiting hours etc? hehe xxx

No experience as a patient but work there occasionally and the staff who work there are very nice. One of the MCAs had her baby via section there is always saying just how good the care was. My sil has had an elective and a planned section at the PRM too and had a very good experience. I can't remember how long she was in though.

no experience of a c-section at the hosp, ive had 2 of my kids there and will be having this one there as well but ive never had a c-section, but on the parking front....its a nightmare!!!!...there is a big carpark at the royal side but its expensive and you have a bit of a walk to the princess, the parking round the hospital is metered and through the day you'll be very lucky to get a space, ok at night though, traffic wardens are around the area all day so watch out cos they dont ticket you they have you towed away!!!..my friends going in the end of sept for a pre-op before her section and she says its just a check to make sure ok for surgery ie-blood pressure, babys position etc etc and she will be sectioned on the 1st october, she had the same with her other 2 kids and she was in for 4 days...hope this helps x
