Hoping you can help me!

We went for a fitting yesterday at halfords and iv had my heart set on this seat for OHs car, however when the bloke fitted it RF it wobbled side to side  he said it was because the strap has to strech around the seat.
And that its better FF.

So does yours wobble side to side when RF? :(

Yeah - they can wobble a bit side to side, but there must be little to no movement back and forth. I have the passenger seat pressed right up against the back of the chair (in the back seat) so it does not move at all.

yes it wobbles. Side to side is fine - but as the previous poster said - it should have no wobble back and forth.

The way he did it it moved loads side to side! It really put me off :(

the way to see if it is in correctly, is to whack it in the centre of the seat. It shouldn't move anywhere. This is the movement that will occur should you have a crash.

If you are unsure, get a fitting in mothercare (I have never liked halfrauds - the summer holiday workers don't actually know anything about baby seats)
Also, try other seats.
I ended up getting a Maxi Cosi Opal for my car as the Britax First Class Plus doesn't fit (The Britax is in hubby's car though)

My brothers girlfriend works for mothercare and she told me never to get a carseat fitted at halfords. She said they have had so many people go to mothercare to get them fitted correctly.

So I would go to mothercare to get them to fit it properly. I had one of those seats with my daughter and there shouldn't be a lot of movement.

I agree try going to mothercare. The woman at the one I went to really knew what she was talking about. Also consider a non slip sear saver for extra grip.

Thanks ladies! Off i pop to mothercare on wednesday! X

^^ wss i had mine fitted at toys r us and whenin rearwards it moved and the woman (who has worked there for years btw) explained that if you mimic the crash action the seatbelt tenses and holds the seat exactly as it should

when ff its as stiff as a board

I have this car seat and think im going to put it to one side for a while as I too am too worried about it wobbling side to side. Think im going to use it in DH's car forward facing and get an ERF car seat for mine.

i have this seat too, there is slight side to side movement but not alot

I went and got it fitted at mothercare like i said i would and they said it didnt fit FF or RF so atm we have given up looking for a seat for OHs car, iv ordered a britax hi way for my car tho x
