Calling All Mirena Users

I have had my Mirena in for a little over a month. I missed my follow-up appt and have no way to get there right now so I haven't rescheduled yet.

Anyway, I have started this HORRIBLE cramping today. I feel it in my butt and legs as well. (Almost like labor pains!) I have had a little look online, and have read that your first period after mirena insertion can be a bit horrific cramp-wise. Is this a possibility?

Should I wait it out or start planning a trip to doctors/ER? I know many things can happen. (TMI) OH & I DTD last night, but we do it all the time and I haven't had cramps like this before ... any advice/experience is welcomed.

I would say it is your period. Dont get it taken out unless you are ready to be pregnant again.

Lol! No, I am not getting it taken out. I was more worried about maybe it had moved or something and was somewhere it was not supposed to be. But I am better now.
