At some points I felt judged by other midwives I encountered due to my situation (I was homeless at one point). I felt they should have been sensitive and understanding. During my birth I didn't feel listened to and although I knew I was about to have my baby the midwives didn't seem to believe I was full dilated yet because I'd only been in established labour for 2 hours and 50 minutes. I felt that they should understand that all labours and births are different and that it's often wrong to go by the textbook.

I feel that due to being a pregnant teen, the care i received was aweful. I seen many midwives, wasnt given the option of parentcraft classes nor was i advised about any pregnancy grants or benefits that where available to me. I was made to feel like a silly girl and felt to scared to ask questions
