Anything you can recommend?
She pretty good and plays well on her own, also sleeps ace, so no worries there. im going to let the routine go out the window and let her stay up until dark and cook some toast on the gas stove etc hehe

Im just after advice or knowledge of any trips you have been on?
what you couldnt do without?
what you didnt need to take afterall?

thank you everyone :flower:

Im going with my toddler on friday saturday night this week, she is 2yrs and 8 months old. Weve never been before so no tips yet but I dont think you can go wrong as long as she has somewhere to sleep and something to eat she will have fun.

My daughter is so excited about her torch and about sleeping on the air bed. If Im back before you go I will keep you posted

We just went camping this past weekend, both nights!!

Our first camping trip with our son was a month before he turned 2. We went to a state park. It was a statewide meet for our carclub. So there was about 16 other people there.

DS interacted with them all day, and everyone loved him, and had fun messing with him. They made him feed chips that fell off the ground to everyone, and kept giving him cheese slices after he snuck up on the picnic table and snuck some!

We brought the crib and put it in the tent for night time, but he actually crawled out of it.First time he ever crawled out of it too! So we just had him lay between us to fall asleep.

He was just started on pottytraining a month prior, but because the potties were so far from the site, we just let him go back to diapers day and night. By 2 1/2, he was done, and the camping trips afterward, we just brought extra undies, wipes and clothes just in case. He never even needed them!

I'd say bring some favorite bed stuff, whether blankets, or toys. They really help.

Ds fell asleep in a fold out chair this past weekend, so we just carried him, and put him in the tent while we continued around the campfire.

Glow sticks! Great at they provide a night and a toy all in one!
Crocs for loo trips, and shower rooms.

we're going to skegness on Friday until sunday! I hope you have fun too! update on here on monday i think

Iv just come back from Skegness with my two! Take a big quilt, not sleeping bags.... and a fluffy sleep suit. I gets cold at night time. A football is a must, oh and a kite!! Have fun! Where you staying??

We are going camping for a week on saturday to a Scout Jamboree we took him to one when he was 11months this time he is 35months. We have got him an airbed with sides and a baby sleeping bag. This time he is PT so a potty and extra pants and washing powder!!!

I am taken plenty of toys and craft activities and get a few out a day. tbn I think he will be entertained by the scouts most of the time lol he is very sociable we are taking his scuttle-bike and we have brought him a special little rucksack so he can carry around his special giraffe. He is very excited to go on the jamboree!!!

It will be great fun don't worry about routines!!!

Ohh me and OH love camping, taken Ivy a few times. Ivy has her own little mini sleeping bag but I would take a quilt too as she tends to end up using hers as a mattress and stealing our sleeping bags to use as a duvet! A wind up lantern or two comes in handy if you want to stay up while she is asleep. But when we go to our next festival we are considering taking a blow up mattress because sometimes she struggles to get comfy!

An all-in-one fleece suit is good too as it gets sooo cold at night. And don't forget mosquito repellent! Littletrekkers.co.uk is a great site for camping gear.

Oh and a little folding chair for eating breakfast outside is good too as Ivy always wakes up early but the grass is all damp and wet!

At Birchwood fishing and camping, not too far from skeggy front.
cant waiiiiiiiiit! almost 3 hours driving though, but hunstanton was all booked up and expensive.

totally getting glowsticks for night time and hot choc.
already have colouring books and planning on going for a little walk behind the campsite collecting leaves etc to make daddy a 'my first holiday' picture.
and i dont have sleeping bags so was just going to take my kingsize quilt, Amelas quilt, four pillows and extra blankets. (obviously still gets cold in the summer, this weekends supposed to be a scorcher)

dont forget the suncream emalou haha

Also sticker books! So good to keep them amused when lying around in the sun.

i also have a double airbed so we wont be on the floor! :)
i was ummmming and aaaarrrring about getting chairs or not but probably best for breakfast times and dinner x

Karlilay - you are from northampton just like moi

Wahhhaaaayyyy.... It wont take you 3 hours to get there hun. Didnt take us that long. And we had to sit at 50. My tent is WICKED! We have a big gazzebo on the front of it to with a full kitchen set up in it too.... i love it! I didnt want to come home this year.

We've been camping! But to a festival though haha.
Our tips are:
All in one fleece, ready bed and favourite teddy and blanket.
glowsticks for the evening and a ball to play with
buggy that reclines if you have/need one. Max would fall asleep and then we would walk back.
new toys to keep them amused. stickers are fab!
also bring their own water bottles/plates etc and chairs. Makes them feel all grown up!

Oh man can I have your tent Karli? We just got back from a festival without Ivy where my friend let me stay in a huge furnished bell tent for free, now we are taking Ivy to one in a shitty tiny 2 man tent and I am dreading it!

Also my next festival is in northampton, wish the drive wasn't so bloody long!
