Hi
I have just split from my husband of nearly 14years and im due in the next 4-6wks (might need an induction)
His name is on my maternity notes as my birthing partner and my next of kin but i dont want him there, i want to changemy next of kin to mymum and i dont want a birthing partner but does he have any rights or can i refuse to have him there?

He thinks its his right to attend my weekly scans etc and i dont want to cause a scene at the hospital soam going to change myappointments so he doesnt knw when they are and i am hoping to get to the hospital when i go into labour without him finding out xx

as you are married he will have rights when the child is born, but i doubt he has the right to be at the hopsital if you dont want him there.. at the end of the day its about whats best for mother and baby and if you dont want him there, then he should respect that.
