I think they are geared for older babies and would like a simple, good baby einstein DVD to play in the background during the day while she plays with her toys. I like the idea of classical music playing for her and she likes flashy things. Anyone have a favorite?

Baby Neptune is a good 'water' one. My DS loved it as an infant, however, my LO has no use for any DVDs :dohh:

They have some of them on youtube for free...I like the mozart and beethoven ones...my boys seems to like them but nothing at this point keeps their attention for too long lol

Baby Mozart is ok from 3 mths (that's what it says on the box). it drives me crackers, but dd was mesmerised from an early age cage still likes it now :flower:

I use the ones on youtube as well. They keep LO occupied while I get ready in the morning.

I play the Lullaby one and Santa's Music Box for Quin and he LOVES them. I think I'll start with some more for him.

WTF? Do you know how long I looked on those boxes to find a recommended age? Hahaha. I feel like a dork!

...and thanks everyone! I have seen the neptune one before, just didn't want to get something too advanced for her and make her lose interest!

We loved all of them, but I've always had a special fondness for Baby Beethoven. It was the first one we ever bought.

Play the original Mozart instead. Baby Einstein has been proven to be unhelpful for babies.

Some classical music has also been proven to be too complex & overstimulating for some babies - I'm sure I read that on a sleep website. Disney have simplified the tunes so that they are recognisable but not too much. Just like lullabies are simplified tunes.

Hmm, makes sense! I did read that the DVDs were unhelpful, not the tunes.

baby neptune, leo loves it! im sure someone would find something wrong with most things you use to entertain babies but leo defo enjoys it.

Yeah I don't think they are helpful in that your baby won't become a genius but they are very nice and soothing haha :)
