can children sense pregnancy?

Over the past few weeks my nearly 4 year old daughter keeps stroking and kissing my tummy saying there is a baby in there mummy and aww my boy while stroking me. Im not expecting to be pregnant nor are we trying just yet. (Still taking my pill. Never missed or been late with any) but i concieved my daughter whilst on the injection. Do you think she could be right or could it be a phase?

I would say a phase, children normally get obsessive about things so she's probably seen a pregnant woman or something. DS used to tell me he had a baby in his tummy lol.

Maybe she had a dream where you were pregnant?

I don't believe that at all. As others have said she might just want a sibling, had a dream about you being pregnant or perhaps she knows of someone else's mummy who is pregnant so is just curious.
