Can days and days of soft cervix and EWCM mean an annovulatory cycle?

Just like the title says, today is day 5 of EWCM and a very soft high cervix for me. I was just wondering if this can indicate my body trying to ovulate but failing to? OPK's are sketchy but I am pretty sure they are still negative, just tired of waiting, and all of the sex (SMEP) is wearing me out and making me sore, so I wish I would just O already!
