Hey Girls,

I'm slightly concerned at the lack of support i'm getting from my gynea.
I'm on clomid now which i had to fight for tooth and nail but he's not done anything to really monitor me other than CD21 tests and my results have been way high
98 month one and 118 month two both on only 50mg.
I've asked about an HSG to check things are ok they've said that happens after 3 cycles - why waste 3 cycles if there might be a problem?

I've had very strange pains this cycle since O day and i'm concerned.
Can i ask them to monitor me more closely?

What do i do?

Anna

Heya I didn't want to read and run!

I've not had fertility treatment etc so I'm not really sure on what to day but is there no way you could ask for a second opinion if you feel you aren't getting the level of care you should? Perhaps ask for a different Gynae?

Sorry I'm not much help, hope you get more help soon though xxx

Hey chick, I would demand that the gynae takes a closer look, and actually bothers to monitor you, thats out of order.

Let us no chick,if you go back?xx

i've spoken to the secretary who was as useful as a chocolate fireguard and she told me to go to A&E - muppet!

I think if they were too high, they'd be concerned and call you back in, but that would be me putting my faith in the system which doesn't always pay off. You weren't ovulating before the clomid were you? A friend of mine was called in to see her GP after getting a level of 191 because they were worried about OHSS. There's a big difference of 119 and 191, so maybe it's still in the 'safe' range.. and this was after the 3 months, so maybe they don't worry before then?

no iwasn't ovulating at all before so it's good that it's working i'm just concerned about the pains.

Hi afight

As mentioned previously I feel I have been put on clomid for no reason. However I have to go for a scan on day 12 where they take measurements of my lining, folicies to see if I have ovulated and then depending on results give me the injection and tell me to come back in a couple of days.

I just assumed this was the procedure that they would all follow. You should be monitored more closely

I'm not being monitored closely either. I have to have cd21 bloods and go back after 3 months.

What are the pains like Anna? On the leaflet in the clomid box it tells you to seek medical attention if you have abdominal pains... maybe it's worth a call to NHS Direct?

they've been like really intense period pains not nice at all
maybe i should call nhs direct!

hey girls,
got taken into A&E last night as the gynea didn't call me back i spoke to NHS direct and they said i needed an urgent scan i got a little worried to say the least but they didn't take me seriously so i got packed off with some pills and sent on my way!
The witch should be here any day now temps is down to nearly and all time low so i'm ready and waiting for round 3!
