Can i claim any benefits

I have just returned to work after being on maternity leave and i am finding it very difficult to cope. i am a single parent and my job is very stressful, i have asked to reduce my hours and days but they say this isnt good for the business. If i finish my job until i find something else would i be able to claim anything::

Yes because you are a single parent you will be able to claim income support, child tax credits, child benefit, council tax benefit and housing benefit (if you rent) HTH.
