Can I delay ovulation?

My husband is out-of-town, and of course my doctor thinks I’ll O today or Wednesday. Has anyone tried to delay ovulation? I’ve read on the Internet that ibuprofen can do it, but I wanted to hear from any with personal experience. I also read that IVF clinics do it with something similar to Ibuprofen.

This has happened to me on accident. Also high stress has delayed my ovulation several times. I would ask you RE if they can help you delay with meds and monitor you maybe so you can know for sure.

I should have called because in spite of the all of the Advil, running, and drinking caffeine, I still ovulated. On to the next cycle...
