Oh my goodness the "baby brain" is really kicking my butt!

I can't find words, I stop mid-scentence stuck on what I was trying to say, I forget everything, it's TERRIBLE!

I feel like I'm a complete loser right now. I just try to pass it off as a joke about the baby, but it's insane!

I'm actually starting to worry if I'm sick, because I haven't been this foggy since I was truly sick last time (had nothing to do with pregnancy) and had a fever.

Anyone have any particularly funny "baby brain" stories to share?

You are not alone. I can't think of words all the time. My typing has slowed significantly. I drop things CONSTANTLY and I am forgetting everything. It's really getting on my nerves.

I work with a class of fifth graders and class of sixth graders (so that's about 50 kids) and I am ALWAYS calling them by the wrong names! Today I was looking all over the classroom and finally asked the kids at my group, "Do you guys know where Chazlen is?" And then of course Chazlen says, "I'm right here." She was sitting right next to me!

Needless to say, I felt pretty dumb.

I work in customer service. I talk to people all day long and it's getting stupidly embarassing to stumble over my words multiple times with the same customer.

Though at least my clients won't make fun of me the way kids might ;)

I have been constantly losing everything that i get my hands on!! :>

I turned my crock pot dinner on the other day and turned it to WARM instead of HIGH....and didn't realize it for 2 hours :(

OMW I am the same a couple of weeks ago I knocked my appointments file everywhere (I keep old & new appointment letters) everything fell out so I put them all back in, I went to one appointment and the lady on the desk said she couldnt see my name down so could she see my letter, she then pointed out that it was a year old I wanted the ground to swallow me up!!

I forgot my bosses name this morning when I was trying to send him an email. I've worked for him for nearly 4 years.

i was not too bad until now - i totally left my brain at home today!

i had to reply to a couple of emails from my boss and took me a looong time to understand what on earth he was asking me to do! :dohh:
it really feels as if my head was empty!!

Uggg, I have this soooo badly its really starting to annoy me.

I get words muddled up constantly, go to put things in stupid places ie rubbish in the washing machine and washing in the bin (I wondered why I have so many odd socks now) I drop things:wacko:.............

So good to hear Im not the only one doing this but it still crazes me........

Ha, I've lost the ability to do maths....I had a patient say today that "it's not very good for a doctor to have to use a calculator in front of a patient"......ground, swallow me now please....

I was dusting the other week and my brother-in-law looked up at me whilst sniffing at my "funny smelling furniture polish".... it was fly-killer! Whoopsy x

I started to eat my meal in front of all my family last sunday with TWO KNIVES! Lol I was wondering why I couldnt pick up my food! xx

I got my Depute Head to come down to an assembly to question the pupils about who had stolen my camera from my desk.

They asked me several times if it was baby brain and I said "no definately not this time, stop blaming everything that happens on my baby brain."

Anyway one of the kids put their hand up and said "miss do you remember you said you were locking it away in your second drawer and putting the key in your bag for safe keeping?" I was truly mortified.

I bought them all a sweetie to say sorry and now all the staff well and truly blame everything on me, no matter what it is! I guess its what I deserve. xxx

I feel for everyone with brain malfunctions right now.

I have so far, just today, messed up a grocery order and received double apples and mushrooms *sigh*, walked into furniture three times and have some bruises, forgotten simple words all over the shop, not been able to focus on a single task.

I cannot tell you how many times during this pregnancy I have put my underwear on inside out...

I thought I was doin well with this but the last week its increased ten times. Yesterday I was making a cuppa and thought o ill just fill up the tea jar with more bags. Got the box out the cupboard and started to shove tea bags in my cup instead of the tea jar . Took me a few seconds to realise what I was doin. I drop stuff daily and also walk into furniture. Also I had noticed about my typing slowin up. Big sigh hope its not a sign of things to come !

Whew, glad to know I'm not alone!! I seem to drop everything I get my hands on, and its really hard to have to "squat" to pick them up. I run into stuff, I've smacked my bump (not hard) but smacked it into stuff a few times hehe I've almost rolled plum out of the bed a few times (almost) I forget a lot of things especially when Im at work
