Can I just change to Cow and Gate comfort or do I need HV to decide?

I have this as a 2nd plan if gaviscon does work for the reflux - is it ok just to switch to this one without the consent of the HV?

Its says on the front 'for colic and costipation' though.....

Yes hun you can change without Hv consent, although if you're worried ask their advise, I did it on my own instincts xx

i changed to comfort, i really didnt like it and didnt get on with it, was too thick and dex wasnt taken enough and just messing about, althrough he did bring his wind up well! So iv gone back to SMA with colief

YOu have to do what you think is best, you don't need HV approval. I bought some Aptimal easy digest to help Emily's reflux but she ended up projectile vomiting with it, it interfered with her Domperidone medicine and made her poorly so gave it up...I should have known better really...but you try anything to help your LO don't you.

Is Alex on anti reflux drugs or just Gaviscon? I have heard good things about C&G Comfort...

I moved my lo on to cow and gate comfort yesterday as she wasn't pooing and never burped etc... It is a lot thicker so I have to use a fast flow teet but she loves it and gobbles down the whole bottle in ten mins which used to take half and hour! it has also helped the poo situation so far!

i did ask about moving over only because we went to get her weighed. HV said to move back to normal milk at about 3 months.

You can change your babies milk, you dont need to ask HV, i used to give it to hollie for about a week at her 6pm feed as thats when she would be hard egtting wnd up, but shes fine now and gone back to full time C&G hungry baby for all feeds xxx
