Can my ex put his name on the BC without my permission?

I didn't put my ex on the birth certificate a I knew I couldn't trust him. He's now demanded I put it on, else he'll do it himself without me. Can he do this?

I'm not sure if he can be added to the birth certificate itself but if he could go to court for his parental responsibility. Unless there is a serious reason that you don't want him to have parental responsibility xx

Only if he goes through court and you weren't married but they take a lot of things into consideration like how much he's been around for the child etc
