This might be a dumb question but it's running through my mind. We got a new dryer and it smells (electric, not gas). It kind of smells like burning plastic, and apparently this is "normal new dryer smell". Can the smell hurt baby in any way? I was around it yesterday doing laundry...

Never heard of smells affecting the baby in any way! Otherwise I'd need to keep clear of my hubby's pumps lol!!

No a smell cannot hurt a baby unless it is a smell from some sort of dangerous fume

I think it depends on if there are toxic chemicals inherent in the smell.

I avoid any 'chemical' smells, just in case.
