Tell me what you think! This is my first cycle charting, and I've been very good about not missing a day. TTC is wearing on me though, and I've been waking earlier than my usual time. I have yet to ovulate, but I've had a couple of weird spikes. Anyway, please have a look and let me know! Link is in my siggy!

Looks good so far. Try to wake at the same time everyday to keep the temps stable especially for the next 5 days. You will likely get a peak reading on the mon in the next couple of days. Likely ovulation will occur between the 22nd and the 24th. Try not to read too much into an individual temp. :dust:

Can you tell likely ovulation by looking at the chart? LOL I'm amazed at your wealth of knowledge! Or are you estimating based on the high readings of my FM? Hoping for a peak tomorrow or Thursday! Going out of town without DH on Friday for a long weekend and I am going to be so mad if I miss my peak!

If you aren't waking at the same time, you can use an online temp adjuster to get a better idea of what it would be if you had woken up at the same time every morning. Pick a time and stick with that as your standard, even if you end up waking up earlier or later some mornings.
Or, just use this formula:

Add 0.1 degrees for every 1/2 hr that you woke up EARLIER, or
Subtract 0.1 degrees for every 1/2 hr that you woke up LATER

I based the estimate off of the monitor readings and that temps normally come down a day or two before ovulation. Make sure your DH makes a deposit before you leave. Stress is the biggest obstacle during TTC.

Can someone PLEASE view mine as well :) Its my frist month too! I am a little confused and havent found alot of answers on here yet!

When did af/menses/period start and end? Your chart only has only one day. A cycle begins on the first day of af. 4 out of 7 temps are circles which indicate that the time taken is different. Taking temps at the same time each morning before you get out of bed helps in locating patterns. Temps taken at different times can make a chart difficult to read. I'd also recommend that you use a ovulation prediction kit(opk). If you use digitals you won't have to guess if it is positive. If you use the ones with lines, a positive is when the test line is darker or the same as the control line. You could be getting ready to ovulate soon based on your cm. Are your cycles regular or irregular in length and how long are the cycles usually?

I just recently started temping.. but my last few month periods are:

July 12th-July 19th
August 10th-August 17th
September 5th-September 12th

I got off of my pills in June and July was my first period.. and so far it has been very regular. The different times were only taken at like an hour difference, not much.. But I am def going to continue trying to take them at the same time every day. Ive been taking b6-200 mg for the last two weeks.. I barely have any cm.. its more watery then anything but there isnt much at all :[

Okay one more question (hopefully!). I took my temp this morning and it was low... Lower than it has been this whole cycle! But I'd been sleeping with my mouth open. So after I'd recorded that temp and moistened my lips and what not, I took it again, and this time it was higher... Like .4 degrees higher. Now I'm not sure which one I should put on my chart... Any insight?

You'll probably have to be ready to have af before you'll have an idea on what is going on in the cycle. The lengths are good, your getting regular periods. I would employ ovulation tests in the next cycle starting around CD10 until you get a positive then a negative. You may be ovulating late in your cycle or cm hasn't normalled out yet to tell you when ov is coming. You can take evening primrose oil when af starts till you ovulate to help the cm. Check back in after a few new temps. Does the B6 make you hungry? It makes my wife hungry.

Honestly, I wouldn't record either of those temps. Go ahead an put the first one, and just note the other details for that day.

If you tend to sleep with your mouth open, I would recommend switching to vaginal temping next cycle. You can't do it mid-cycle as vaginal temps are generally higher than oral temps, and it may make it look like you've ovulated when you really didn't.

I don't normally. It only happens occasionally, so I don't really want to make that switch! And I read on fertility friend that most font need to do that. My temps haven't been too erratic, so I'm not too worried. My main question is just should I be wetting my mouth before I take my temp? Because I usually just pop it in regardless of mouth wetness or dryness.

Only use the first temp. I caught my wife doing that, your temp is your temp and you don't want to create a chart that shows ov before it really happens. You should get a peak tomorrow or Friday. The lower temp today may be a pre-o dip, which is an estrogen surge that triggers LH, which causes the egg to release. If your temp goes up tomorrow it is likely due to estrogen levels dropping as your body gears up to welcome the egg. Three days after you ovulate FF will give you crosshairs and confirm ov on your chart. If you end up ovulating after you leave for the weekend the :spermy: should survive long enough. Get a deposit before you leave to get you through the weekend and to be on the safe side get another when you return.

Yeah the dip kind of excited me because I read that it could be a pre o dip... But I'm using a fertility monitor as well, and though today is a high fertility day, my estrogen line is still really dark and my lh line still faint. So if it was a pre o dip, wouldn't the estrogen line on my stick be lighter than it is? And wouldn't my monitor have read peak fertility?

We're also using a fertility monitor, the clear blue easy. I haven't quite figured out what it reads on the sticks, but it appears that it uses the same sticks that digital opk use. It mentions estrogen in the book but I don't see how it actually reads it off the stick. Considering estrogen is usually measured in the blood or saliva. I believe the dark line is a control line.

I think it reads high if LH shows up on the stick and gives a peak if the test line is darker than or the same as the control line. Which is easier than regular opks to read. I do suspect that there is a slight misrepresentation on what the product actually tracks. But I'm not too upset as reading the lines on a stick is not fun.

This is our first cycle using the monitor.

Actually, when I first started using my monitor (clearblue as well) I did a lot of research. The line closest to the pee end is the lh line. When estrogen is low, the line is dark. As estrogen rises, before ovulation, the estrogen line (the line furthest from the pee end) gets darker (this is what triggers a high reading on the monitor) then when lh surges, and you get a dark lh line, that's when you get a peak reading. As hormone levels vary from woman to woman, the lines can look a lot different for each person, and because the monitor adapts to you, it can take a cycle or two to get a peak reading...

Are your temps supposed to be the same everyday except when you ovulate. I am on Day 6 and my temps jump around a bit....I dont even know if I am taking my temp right! I literally stick the thermometer under my tongue, LOL

Oooooh I LOVE your schnauzer! I have one too, white, her name is Lola! Lol back on track, I think it's normal for your temps to move around. Check out my chart. This is my first cycle temping, too, but I've been browsing the chart gallery and all of the charts show different temps.

I take the B6 at night with my prenatal so I don't forget :) So I wouldn't really notice. But the great news is, I FINALLY GOT A POSITIVE OPK THIS MORNING :) This is my cycle day 17.. once you get a positive OPK on a certain day is it "likely" that I will get my ovulation on the 17th cycle day every month?

Thanks! I thought I must have been crazy cause my temps were weird, haha.
awww, thanks. Shes actually 1/2 Belgian Tervuren and 1/2 whippet. We thought she was a some schnauzer when we adopted her, but DNA tests said differently. I never would have guessed her breeds though, lol
