Can someone run me through what to expect with clomid?

I am having my CD21 bloods on Fri?

Is it likely I will get my first lot of clomid next cycle? If so what is the dosing? Side effects etc?

I am really excited but I do want to know the bad stuff too. XXXX

I think everybody experiences Clomid differently. If you've had regular cycles in the past, your cycle length may change. If you're like me and irregular, your cycle should shorten.

As far as effects, the side effects for me were minimal at 50 mg. Some headaches, but nothing major. At 100 mg (Clomid CD 3 to 7), I get headaches starting at CD4 until about CD13. Hot flashes are also periodic in that time. If I get a sunburn in CD 4 to CD 7, I have gotten a rash. I'm very moody until about CD13 and also weepy. Not fun.

I get very strong O pains with Clomid, but I haven't noticed reduced CM, which some women note. I get stronger AF cramps than usual, but AF is lighter than usual.

Usually taken day 2-6 or day 5-9. Side effects vary madly. I got most of them, have known people who got none. It's all basically person specific.

Been on clomid 50mg and just got AF from 1st cycle of 100mg CD 2-6, i have regular periods and have been diagnosed with unexplained. I would def recommend taking at night so you sleep through most of the side affects.

50mg - Hot flushes. Really strong ovulation pains again the same as Diana i would have painful periods but very light.
100mg- Real bad hot flushes to the point where i couldnt cope doing anything as i would get agitated. Waking up sweating. Didnt have as strong ovuation pains though(may not of ovulated).

Hi! I was on Clomid (50 mg for 2 cycles and 100 mg for 2 cycles). As the others have said, the side effects vary greatly. I took the pills from days 3-7 just before bed and didn't really have many side effects. I sometimes felt a little light headed if I didn't fall right asleep, but it wasn't bad at all. I also felt ovulation cramps and I never experienced that before. Good luck. xx

I was on CD 5-9 started out at 50 and ended up going to 150. Some bad side affects at first and then got adjusted to it and once I hit the 150 they came back. Like other have said headaches hot flashes I was pretty bitchy and moody the whole time. I also took mine at bed time just to help with some of the effects.
