Or do you have to wait until they do it for you?

We are due to move house and my credit card is at its limit. It would come in very useful but we had other things we had to buy on it, baby, xmas etc.

If I call them would they increase it for me or is that something you just have to wait for them to do?

I have not had it long, about 6months or so.

xx

I don't think they're supposed to automatically increase it any more, they can invite you to apply for a new limit but I seem to think I read that just doing it automatically has been banned by the FSA.

If you want an increase call up and ask for one, obviously they might refuse if your credit rating isn't great, but you won't know until you ask. Good luck.

Yeah you can call and ask them to increase it :) My husband has done this before. There usually more than happy to do so, means your spending more money with them

Well I called them up and they said they can't do it over the phone and I have to write to the underwriting team

Gonna pop in branch on Monday (they're a bank) and see if they can help

Xx
