Hi,

I've been giving my baby Nestle Good Start formula, mainly because when I was pregnant, Nestle sent me TONS of free formula when I signed up for their baby club. (I had originally planned on exclusively breastfeeding for the first several weeks, then doing combo feeding, but due to circumstances beyond my control, BFing didn't work out). I got 20 cans of ready made, two small tins of powder and one large tin of powder...plus a lot of coupons. So that's what I have been using since I had so much of it on hand. But I also got some free formula from Similac as well, I have a few cans of ready made and two tins of the powder. Can I feed this to her as well, or should I just stick to the Nestle? They're both the same kind (Omega 3 and Omega 6 added), just different brands. Any advice would be great. Thanks! :flower:

Different brands will be ever so slightly different, which might upset LO's tummy a bit. I would say it's best to stick to one brand, unless you plan to switch over and stay with a different one.

It's better to stick to one brand. All Nestle formulas didnt work for us, we tried quiqose & NAN gold & they made him sick. We tried Bebelac, then Aptamil. We ended up using Aptamil as it suited him best xx

I got a bunch of different free samples and had no problems switching between them all.

they can upset some babies tummys, so maybe try it and see what happens.

I know my doctor told me 8 yrs ago not to switch, and I have a friend who was, and her doctor told her it was not a good idea... suppose to stick to the same kind I believe.

It is okay as long as they have similar things...ie if it is lactose free then the other brand should be lactose free. Hope I make sense!

Tom's had SMA Gold and Aptimal on and off depending on what I could get and I've never had a problem with him having both. Didn't seem to bother him or upset his stomach at all.

I had a few samples too and so what I did was if I wanted to try him on a sample I would just give him one bottle of that kind a day and still use the other kind too, until I used up the sample and then I would just go back to the orginal kind. Hope this makes sense. I didn't wanna waste him but didn't wanna make a switch because I enjoyed the orgina kind. I find Nestle Good Start is very blendable but like similac was thick and foamy andhar to blend. What kinds did you have samples of?
