Can you ovulate late and still get your period 2 weeks later?

The reason I'm asking is because I've been taking opk since April 15 and on April 23 i finally got a positive result, well today is May 5 and it seems like i started my period, yesterday i had brown spotting today it's red with still alittle brown TMI i know but if this is my period then i calculated that i should've ovulated April 21 ? Well i took a pregnancy test first response Digital and it said I'm not pregnant so idk my period wasn't supposed to start until May 8 ! Idk what's going on

Could be implantation bleeding since it normally happens 6-12 days after ovulation. If your period isn't due until the 8th then its probably to early to test, which is why it was a negative. I would wait until the 8th or a few days after then test again. good luck!
