as title says really new to this still doing a bit of both looked on packaging and it doesnt seem to say anything about this? oh and if you can save how long for? and does it have to be put in fridge? thanks

Once ur baby sucks frm the bottle it has to be used within 1 hr. Left overs should be discarded. xx

i read somewhere that aptamil says that is ok for up to 2 hours! but to tell you the truth i have used it at 2hrs and a bit and my LO has never come to any harm, i can't see how at 1.59mins its fine and 2hrs 1min its not

I think once its been warmed up and the baby has consumed part of it you need to discard after an hour

SMA powder states you can use it up to 2 hours whereas the ready made cartons say 1 hour. If there is a little left in the bottle then i just keep it on the worktop for 2 hours incase LO wants some more, then throw it out after that. I dont put it in the fridge as then i would need to reheat it should he want some more. You always hear about bacteria and reheating things. Not sure if it applies to milk ,but if i dont cool it down i dont have to worry :D

I wouldn't reheat because of bacteria, and you can use powder formula for up to 2 hours after you opened it :)

With Aptamil it's 2 hours if your baby hasn't drunk any of it. However, once they have drunk some it doesn't really say but I would go with about 1 hour too as once baby has drunk there will be bacteria from the saliva. I try to use up any used formula within about 1 hour and have always been fine.

am the same but i wouldnt re-heat the bottle wouldnt wanna upset lil ones tummy xxx

Aptimal states upto 2 hours at the most after. But you cant reheat it. Kacey would never drink it room temp anyway. SO if she didnt drink it straight away i would have to discard till the next one

my hv told me that whether ollie has drank from the bottle or not, im ok to give her it for up to 2 hours but not to re heat it xx

I've alwaysgone by the rule of; once made and left out of the fridge, you keep it for up to two hours. If you make it up and put it straight in the fridge you can keep it for 24 hours. I have been known to leave it out for an hour, have LO drink from it, put it in the fridge and use up to 12 hours later. To use it again I have to reheat it, but if she doesn't finish it then, it will be thrown away, and I use it as quickly as possible; I won't leave it out for longer than an hour.

Nobody told me there was a problem with that, and she hasn't had any problem with me doing it. We also carry a bottle of camomile tea with us every day, and it will be at room temp all day, and she will drink from it several times throughout. We haven't had any problems, so even if it's not recommended, I'm going to continue doing it
