Is anyone out there taking clomid and prenatal vits?

I'm so scared of mucking things up. I was close to ordering Pregnacare preconception, but then read a review saying they actually lengthened her cycles. (Picking out the ONE bad review out of a million great ones!!)

Any experiences? I am obviously on folic acid anyway but wondering if getting something like Pregnacare would be even better.

I've been taking them for over four years now and they haven't made any difference. They are just normal everyday vitamins that your body needs and should (in theory) be getting from your diet.

Thanks. Just paranoid of doing more harm than good. The vits I was looking at were more than just a general multivitamin, which I don't bother taking because I eat healthily. I do take folic acid and omega 3 but thought this pregnacare thing might be even better. Besides the usual vits, it has l-argenine, inositol and something else to help with cervical mucus.

Prenatals are recommended while TTC and they do not mess up fertility drugs , if your not wanting to take them though I would at least take folic acid.

I wouldn't take anything that has herbs or anything with it to help your cycles, as they can counteract the clomid by changing your hormones in different ways. Just a plain prenatal multivitamin. (folic acid and DHA/omega 3 is fine too) I was going to try Agnus Castus/Vitex before clomid, but I ended up on clomid so made sure I stopped the AC (was on it a little bit) for a few weeks to make sure it was out of my system. WHile on clomid I took my prenatal, DHA supplement, and a B50 complex to help my LP along.

Yeah I would definitely not take AC whilst on clomid. I tried it before a couple of years ago and it did nothing for me anyway. I was just getting a bit anxious about doing anything at all to risk interfering with my cycle but I think by the sounds most people are fine with prenatals.

Well I do know the clomid cycle that I drank grapefruit juice to help with CM.... well it did help my CM but I didn't O so stopped the juice & ovulated 2 weeks later on like CD 32. So to help with CM the other cycles I used Guaifenesin in the form of a generic decongestant syrup, & preseed. Some cycles I used both, some one or the other. Those didn't interfere with ovulation!

hey girls good question. im a newbie on the clomid this month :-))
should i stop taking any of my vits.....prenatal,vit d, evenin primrose, omega 3, vit b6, and i was going to start my wheatgrass caps again ( i swear these are what helped lower my fsh a few months back)
any help welcome xxxx good luck girls

louimum I'd probably drop the EPO and wheatgrass if I were you. The others should be fine. Of course you can always call your doctor's office and see what they would advise.

ohhh thank u hun. godi hope i havent done any damage so far with the epo. im currently cd 4. so only taken two clomid so far. i wont take the epo tonight.
ive actually created a post about clomid today but no one has replied. have you used it alot? does it make ov earlier than norm?? xx

I did 8 cycles on it over the course of 13 months or so (had a break after the first 3 cycles). Only 7 were ovulatory. It made me ovulate earlier than normal, but only because I don't ovulate regularly at all on my own. I never did ovulate as early as CD14. I think the earliest was CD16.
