Hi Everyone,

I am currently going through my 5th loss in 2 years, after 3 healthy pregnancies. My OB wants to send me to a recurrent loss specialist and run some tests. One of the tests would include a test for APS blood disorder and I was wondering if you can just get it randomly at some point in life, especially after giving birth 3 times with no problems?

In my last live birth, I did have a Subchorionic Hematoma which corrected itself. Since my first miscarriage at 13 weeks, I suffer from more migraines, spotting of the cervix about a week before my period is due, my feet are always cold and my periods last only 3 days now but its pretty heavy with lots of clots.

After my first miscarriage, I was passing huge clots, like larger than my fist huge. Could that have triggered something? I think I am just looking for answers as to why after 3 live births can this happen? Any input is much appreciated, thank you, ladies.

Hello I'm in a similar situation I had three perfect pregnancies. Now my youngest is 6 and I've had an ectopic and 2 mc at 12 wks. This is a different father than the first 3 but we've had every test imaginable done including testing the baby with the only result being I tested positive for factor V lieden but obviously I had that my whole life with no effect and they tell me that shouldn't really make a difference. So I'm taking baby aspirin because they don't know what else to try. I'm currently 10 wks along and terrified of my 12 week appointment. No idea what's causing the mcs.

I'm sorry you girls are going through this. It's so hard. I had three successful pregnancies followed by four losses. I don't know what changed. I had all the testing done, too. My iron was low (from so many miscarriages and blood loss), and my Vitamin D was extremely low (there is a link to miscarriage with low Vit D). I fixed both of those things and went on a strict diet of meats, vegetables, and fruit for about two months (until morning sickness got the better of me) - I was trying to clear my system of anything I was sensitive to because a doctor had recommended it. My next pregnancy was successful. I don't know what finally helped it, but think maybe the Vit D? I also took progesterone, but I did that through most of my losses, too. I just wanted to give you guys a little hope that you might find an answer. :hugs:

I also joined the recurrent miscarriage thread and that helped me so much. I don't think it's very active anymore, but if you read through it, you might find some information that will help you.
