can your almost 4 year old hop & stand on 1 leg?

we had the check up and she wasnt that good either maybe 1-2 sec. and a hop while holding on :haha: but she can ride a bike ( without any help)so i am not worried about her motor skills

and she could walk on heels backwards whatever thats good for :haha:

Thanks again all.

Morri - is that ride a bike with trainer wheels? Or without?

My little girl has low tone i'm now told, though she was checked countless times as a baby and definitely didn't then.

No training wheels, she had a balance bike before and went straight from balance bike to pedal bike

That's wonderful Morri :) - and happy birthday to your little girl.

Mine was 4 on Monday :)

My daughter was recently diagnosed with hypermobility and she's nearly 4 and half. She has recently started having physio as I felt she falls over more often than she should. She has been given daily exercises to do. One is standing on one leg for as long as possible and then on the other. Another is climbing up and down the stairs without holding on several times. She can't really hop, maybe almost one but not really and prob about 3-5 secs on one leg. However practicing these daily is definitely helping. I think I'm nlt great with coordination and balance and hadn't really thought it was something I needed to teach her or work on with her but I think it probably is. My younger daughter is 22 months and can stand on one leg for a little longer maybe 6-7 secs but can't jump or hop yet.

Littlegreenie 3-5 seconds is the target so she's doing great :)

We've been under physio for over a year now but she just cannot seem to get the standing on one leg for more than 1 wobbly second.
She also can't manage a balance beam, stepping stones or stairs without a handrail.

Your 22month old sounds like my youngest - naturally good physically.

My son turned 4 this week and has been able to for about 6 months now

My son is 3.5, he can stand on one leg for 2-3 seconds, and the other for 3-5. He can also hop with no issue.

I think he had never tried standing on one foot before, but he did okay.

Oh I got him a balance bike, it was a no go, not interested at all, we get it back out every few months, still nope.
