Can't believe some people! Just need to vent

My mum called me and my dad on Skype just now to tell us someone broke into our house last night! We're in shock. We have a relatively big house and we all live at home but come and go due to studying etc... Mum was home alone last night.my sister, her hubby and my DF came home from working at the club to find my sisters jack Russell out in the rain in her cage so they immediately knew something was up. Their front door was smashed in and a few other doors in that part of the house. The culprits knew the house and knew where to go as the only places they went were my sister and brother in laws bedroom and my nieces bedroom. They ransacked everything but were looking for one thing in particular which they found and stole. I'm so glad my niece was at the child minders for the night and my mum didn't get up as who knows what the b******s would have done to them.
It was someone we know that has been in the house before and knew that no one would be there. We have an idea of who it was and luckily we have security cameras on the property. The police are dealing with it but I'm just in shock and can't stop thinking what if mum had gotten up or Marlee was there
I'm also worried that my brother in law and my DF will go and seek out the guy they think it is, I told DF not to do anything stupid and let the police deal with it but there's no reasoning with someone who is in shock and upset that someone has done this to his family

Sorry I just needed to get it off my chest! I can't believe people.

Thanks Ladies, We have CSI at the house at the moment getting DNA and Finger prints.
DF is starting to calm down which is a relief as the is no reasoning with an angry and upset man!
