im swithering whether or not to buy the base for the car seat to take advantage of the 'one click' in & out or is it just as easy to put the seat belt round the seat? im only asking bcos im pretty strapped for cash & its another £40 for the base :-/ if it makes a good difference then obv ill buy- just wanted an opinion :flower: thank yew xxxx

I have one and it's fab!! I've got a maxi cosi cabriofix with the easy fix base. It is a luxury but so much quicker which makes it worth it in the rain/with screaming baby! If you can stretch to it I'd definitely get one.

Wouldn't be without mine - it's so easy to use and you know your LO is always fitted in correctly.

The only issue is that we didn't want to fork out for two bases so it means when we go out as a family we generally have to use my car as the base is quite heavy/ awkward to move around between cars. (We have a Maxicosi Cabriofix/ Easy Fix base)

i have one and it is handy, as well as being quicker when you've got a cross screamy baby that needs a drive around too chill out!! but maneuvering the seat belt around them really isn't that tricky either, so if you'd rather spend £40 on stocking up on nappies that would make sense too!!

I've got the recaro isofix base and it's been a total godsend! :) I borrowed my mums car for a wee while while they were on hols and I was so fed up of putting the belt round by the end of it! Xx

cool  do u find u take the car seat in & out of the car quite a lot then? xx

i keep the car seat in the house and load him up and then take him out to the car in it, and the same if we're visiting folks, we'll carry him indoors in the seat, so the base does get alot of use really. thinking about it, if you can stretch, they are handy. also the biggest benefit i would say is if you have to park on the wrong side of a road, it saves you from messing around with your door open into the road an your bum sticking out!!!

I still do, nearly every time, unless were using the pram for a walk. I'll be stopping soon as J is over a stone and it kill my shoulders! :haha:
But its good too cos you can leave it in the base and just take the baby out. If their belted in you've got to undo it all to take baby out.
I mean, it's not a huge inconvenience but I just found it a good thing. Xx

off to kiddicare website i go lol thanks everybody, ur helps much appreciated xx

If youre going to be taking the seat out reguarly its invaluable (if lo is asleep to carry them in the house or if you use a travel system) x

I find it very useful but if you dont have much money you would manage without and get pretty quick at putting the seat in and out

I lurve mine, wouldn't be without it. Like the others said, it makes life so much easier, especially in bad weather etc. TBH, I don't actually know how to belt the carseat in, because I've never had to do it

I have the pebble and the familyfix base, wouldnt be without it, I always know my baby is in correctly and is safe and I can easily get it in and out when I need to. To be honest though I leave mine in the car most of the time, I still think it is beneficial to have one for this as I dont have to do the strap everytime! Also my seatbelts are fairly short so it is really fiddly getting it around the seat properly and I would just be worrying it wasnt secure

x

we hate ours, payed £65 for the thing and never used it!
i also dont think it feels very secure and it wakes LO up when trying to put it back in
