car seat on front passenger seat?

we have a clio but we really need a new car but cant afford it atm.

tobys feet are starting to touch the front passenger seat (hes in the back) and is starting to get car sick.

i was thinking of putting his car seat in the front. is it safe? theres no airbag or anything. also is it legal? x

is he rearfacing or front facing hun?
i'm not too sure what the rules are with front facing but when jake was little we had im in the front sometimes when he was in his small car seat.

thinking about it when he was in his first car seat he went in the front so surely its not much different. x

i think it means its not illegal but because most accidents are to do with the front of the car its less safe iygwim?

i think il try it for a few days see if hes better with it. x

i didnt realise is the middle seat has a normal seatbelt (not lap belt) thats the safest one to put them in!! maybe if the front seat doesnt work the middle one might! x

I think you have to disable the airbag as well?
