I am slowly learning more about car seats and had a quick quesion about positioning.

I've heard that the center position is preferred however our vehicle only has latches on each side and not in the center. It is also a truck, so the center seat is very far from the door and would be hard for me to use without climbling in.

Is it just as safe to use the Latch system on one side versus using the seatbelt in the middle?

Thanks! :flower:

you can put the car seat on either side.
they say the middle is safest because if you were to get hit by another car, your baby is more protected away from the sides.

But just think, what do people do when they have 2 seats in the car?? they put one on either side :)

You will be fine putting it on the side.

also take your seat and vehicle to your fire department or police station....they will help you make sure it is in correctly, and will be able to tell you what is best for your vehicle

The ideal spot is the rear middle, but it's not required, where ever you get the best install is really the best spot
