carpal tunnel syndrome- any sufferers?

following on my thread about my hands being number, things have got worse.
I have been waking up with numb hands but now I am having numbness in my fingertips even during the day. Throbbing in my wrist, and achyness (sp) in my thumb. I have also had stiffness in my hands. Does this sound like carpal tunnel syndrome. My mom had it and she had the surgery done.

Just wondering if any sufferers can tell me their symptoms and the treatment they had, and if they had to have the surgery.

I also have it still after 5 months of birth. Its getting worse especially my right hand, maybe because i use it more. but whenever i wakeup, its numb, terrible pain in wrist and fingers.cant do most of home chores.struggle with picking my baby.from last week i notice that now the pain has extended to my arm as well.
Someone recommended me BioAstin capsules so started from last 2 days. Will let you know if made any difference.
