Hi,

Just wondering what if safe to carry and pick up? I feel like I am scared to do anything at the moment but then I think of expectant mothers who already have children they must pick them up and get on with life as normal.

However, I'm getting annoyed at work cause we take it in turns to make the tea but the tray gets quite heavy to carry with about 8-10 filled up cups of water.

Will I be ok to carry this down the corridor?

Sorry feel stupid haha.

To be honest, I have been wondering the same thing!
I'm sure you will be fine with a tray of tea, I was lifting up my nephews all day long yesterday and playing with them on the floor etc!
I think just obvious things like not trying to move furniture etc?!?!!

Hiya hun, yes this will be fine, when I was expecting my ds I had ds1 who was only a baby to look after then last year with ds2 I built up an 8ft trampoline...not knowing I was pregnant lol, you are advised to be carefull what you are lifting becauseyou may hurt your back, bubs will be fine hun :) xxx

Awwwwwww thanks :) feel better now haha, guess I won't get out of the tea making until my bump gets in the way hahaha

You could always make the tea, then get someone else to carry it back for you. I've been terribly clumsy these past few weeks :winkwink:

Ladies when I was getting my vvvvfaint :bfp:s I had a trip to my Drs and discussed this very issue with her as I had been moving furniture, stock etc at work and was concerned! She told me she always advises ladies to carry on as normal even if that means carrying and lifting....women did years ago! I was concerned re m/c and she said if your baby is meant to be then nothing on earth will change that.....iykwim! your baby is very protected as safe in your pelvis area at early stage so lifting is no major issue although maybe as you get bigger, bump maybe cause a prob :)

I wouldn't worry too much, if you pick something up and it feels too heavy then I would leave it but general day to day stuff should be ok :D I'm still carrying my almost 2 year old quite a lot :flower: x

I agree I intend to stay within what I deem manageable....I have avioded picking up my 5yr old DS!
