Sorry it has taken so long to get round to posting this, have been busy busy busy lol.

Anyway, as some of you may know I posted a thread in 3rd Tri about the nightly pressure pain I had been getting which I assumed was an over active baby going head down. I had these pains 2 nights in a row keeping me up all night but then disappearing come morning.

Well on the night of 29th July at around 9pm I started to get the pain again, after 2 previous nights of no sleep I decided to ring hospital because I was exhausted and upset. I described the pain and they said it didn't sound like labour and to call my midwife in the morning.

So anyway, I spent another night in agony, assuming it would pass come morning... I took about 6 baths and tried to chill watching a bit of tv whilst OH and the boys were fast asleep.

I even started to use that contraction master to pass the time, needless to say the pains were not regular at all leading me to doubt the whole labour factor again.

Anyway, the morning came and this time the pain hadn't gone like before, so I rang the hospital again and explained that this time the pain was still there and I felt something wasn't right. The midwife told me to come in to get checked out.

I woke up OH and rang MIL to come watch the kids and then we left for hospital, by the time we got there at around 8am the pain was coming about every 1.5 - 2minutes apart.

We were taken to a room and I was given gas and air, which at this stage did nothing for the pain so I just left it and swore through the pain instead.

About an hour later the midwife came back to check me, I was 7 centimetres dilated, at this point I begged for an epidural which the midwife said she would arrange.

I didn't get an epidural in the end because the next time I called for the midwife I was ready to push. At this point my waters had not broken yet and the baby was making it's way into the world still encased in them, after the head appeared the midwife asked if I wanted her to break the waters at this point, which I agreed to do, so she broke them on the next contraction and I continued push.

After not much more than 10 minutes of pushing our gorgeous baby girl Cassidy was born weighing a healthy 7lb 8oz.

We are so proud of our beautiful baby girl and her big brothers are over the moon to have her here!
