Cat more affectionste now I'm pregnant?!

We have had our cat since she was a kitten-I couldn't get her to sit in my knee no matter how much I tried...but now in pregnant she wants to be near me or on my knee all the time. It's just a total change in personality!

Anyone else's pets changed since they became pregnant ?

Well I have three house rabbits, the two boys are the same with me but the girl hates me!!She doesn't let me go near her and won't let me stroke her anymore!

my cat will sit with me now that i am further along, before i was pregnant my cat was my baby, she would cuddle with me in the morning after DH would get up for work, but about a week after finding out i was pregnant she started avoiding me, and if i picked her up she would try to scratch my eyes out and hiss at me. now she is getting cuddly again, although the other day she climbed up on my belly and when my little guy kicked she was right put off.

My younger cat won't leave me alone now I'm pregnant! The older one still isn't that bothered with me though!

My cats the same!!! She comes and lays on my tummy or lays next to me and puts her paw on my tummy so cute!! When I was pregnant before we had a different cat and she was the same, far more cuddly when I was pregnant. Think they must sense something

I agree-sure they can sense something too! It's either that or it's because we are warmer or something

As of a couple of weeks ago my puppy follows me everywhere, even more than usual. She lies on my knee all day and jumps on my bed first thing in the morning and goes back to sleep, also comes up with me at night and sleeps too. Someone usually has to drag her back downstairs

My dog although is always my dog she loves yo lay with my husband. But more so lately she won't leave me be! Right now she's sitting under my feet.

Both our dog and cat won't leave me alone now that I'm further along lol our kitten will lie on my stomach and pur, which makes me little man kick like crazy lol she used to jump up when he'd kick her, but now she just started kneading my stomach lol

My cat has also become super affectionate since I got pregnant. She won't go near DH or my toddler (who is NOT gentle with her), but cuddles up to me and would sleep nestled into my FACE if I let her! Apparently this is common phenomenon with pets.

My cat I had growing up was always affectionate towards me, but he was more my brother's cat, and even after my brother moved out, he seemed to shift his loyalty towards my dad. But when I was pregnant with DS, he would cuddle with me all the time. There is a picture we have of him similar to yours but he was facing into my stomach, kind of curled under my belly. Didn't seem to faze him when ds started kicking.

My cat is obsessed with sitting on or near me and climbs up to rub his face on mine and then put his head on my shoulder! He was my first clue I was pregnant as he was exactly the same when I was expecting DS, right from conception! That kitty definitely has a sixth sense for pregnancy!

That is so weird, just about a minute before I came across this post my cat was lying on part of my stomach and then baby was kicking where he was lying.

My cat did seem to be very clingy with me at the early stages of pregnancy like he sensed it and hardly left my side but now he isn't too fussed, the novelty wore off for him just the occasional cuddles now.

My cat is a male and I feel at the start of the pregnancy that he had the sixth sense.

My dogs are more affectionate, especially the puppy, but she is also pushing me alot, i think she knows I'm slow

The cats are driving me bonkers, being really really naughty, but from memory they did that last time and I think my patience is very thin!
