So frustrated right now feel like giving up with these long cycles have no idea when I o and cant even guess with cm because it varies between every type every day as does cervix position :/ went to GP and had bloods to check for ovulation all good just long cycles of 60 days my two week wait has turned into a 4 week wait :( am gonna buy some opks next pay day was wondering if anyone could tell me when to start testing for o? :dust:

I really don't know but I am sorry you are going through this. I was getting frustrated with a 16 day LP but I guess we should always count the blessings. Hope you get to know ho to cope with this.

I have irregular cycles due to having pcos, it's very frustrating, last cycle was 34 days (shortest in ages), one before that was 48 and the one before that 53. I've lost weight which is why the last cycle was shorter. I guess at least with pcos I know how I can get some control back, I'm not going to get my cycles much shorter but 34 days is much better than 50/60 odd days (had plenty of 60 odd day ones). So the doctor found no hormonal problems which would cause long cycles??

I do really feel you, while everyone else is onto a new cycle you are left waiting and waiting.

It's really positive that you ovulate though xxx

Yea they said everything is ok that I just have to wait it out which is ok in theory but when it comes down to it im pulling my hair out lol I might go pester the doc some more see if I can get some kind of regulator or something xx

Hey, im sorry for your frustrations. Having irregular periods and ttc is extremely hard to deal with, unfortunately you have no choice but to wait.
I have pcos and my cycles range from 3 to 4 months, which basically took my sanity from me( all I could do was think ttc, how to fix the problems, I dreamt about babies, researched like crazy, and cried..ALOT)
I know losing weight can help shorten your cycles, and I also know that eating organic, non processed foods (paleo) can help dramatically as well. maybe try these things and see what happens.
Are you just seeing your family doctor, who said everything is alright? Because my family doctor told me I did not have PCOS (I knew I did though) and went to a gynae for fertility, he told me immediately that I had it. Maybe seek a Gynae or fertility specialist for help, I know they want you to wait at least a year to try before going in but a Gynae will see you right away due to irregular periods!:hugs:
TTC for 2 years 10 months

Yea just my family doctor dont know how I would go about getting to see a gyno :s unfortunately my budget wont stretch as far as paleo right now with all other bills etc. Iv been tryin to lose weight kind of (keep getting sidetracked) lol df and I are going on a diet shortly, were moving house next week so when we get settled it will deffo be high on the agenda to get back in shape :) :hugs: :dust:

Ask your family doctor if she can refer you to a gynae where you have irregular periods, do NOT take no for an answer. You absolutely need to be seen by someone who specializes in the reproductive area.
As for diet and expense, it really isnt as expensive as you think it is. It gets expensive if you are buying paleo for yourself and then other food for the rest of the family. Getting everyone on board with eating the same things will lower your grocery bill. Also start off slow with it. start with one paleo meal and work your way up, slowly integrating healthy food and ellliminating processed food. And remember, there is no good excuse to buy a bag of chips over a bag of apples! :hugs:

So I phoned my doc and he said he could not refer me until I have been trying for 12 months because bloods have confirmed o so its still possible for me to concieve and that I must just o sporadically :/ he said I will just have to keep trying (easy for him to say) im now on CD 65 and getting very very impatient :( dont get me wrong I do eat plenty of fruit and veg and only white meat but I also love beans on toast and white pasta etc. Lol took another test tuesday night after a 4 hour hold no liquids and still negative so I just dont know whats goin on at all :(
