ttc for a few months and today is CD1 n have soy ready... definitely need some support for :bfp:

Yay! This is my 2nd cycle using soy, I'm currently CD13. I did soy like this--

CD3: 80mgs
CD4: 120mgs
CD5: 160mgs
CD6: 200mgs
CD7: 240mgs

My prior cycle I used soy on CD5-9, and it was like 80, 80, 120, 120, 160.. FF gave me crosshairs on CD26 & I also got positive OPKs, so as far as I can tell (without a blood test or anything) I did ovulate.. :wohoo: Since I've had long, irregular, anovulary cycles since Nov, it was a good thing!

I'm a definite believer in soy!

Do you have a reason to think you don't ovulate?

I'm very new to this and have never been on a forum/chat thing in my life. I just needed somewhere to turn cos I've been TTC for 11 months and I'm getting disheartened. I don't understand all the codes/abbreviations for everything on here. I/e. Soy??

Please can someone make me feel abit welcome and explain?? Cheers:cry:

Soy isoflavones are a supplement in pill form you can buy at Walmart, or online, etc. It's a plant-based source of the natural hormone, estrogen. It mimics the drug Clomid, which is prescribed by doctors, to help stimulate your ovaries to ovulate.

So, for instance, some girls use Clomid to help them ovulate, they get it from a doctor, it's a chemical, etc.

Soy isoflavones are pills you buy from the drugstore or online, which is supposed to help do the same thing, without having to go to a doctor, etc.

I followed three cycles so far and never got opks positive which led me to think that I was not ovulating at all. I used si last cycle 3-7, starting from 100mg to 150mg. am not sure if I Oed because opk was always negative but I have a temp rise.. anyway i decided to use SI this cycle with 150mg-200mg and chart temp as well good luck to all of us

Amy, im new here too. I am sure you will pick up very quick after reading some posts
