Hi I'm doing IUI but on first round of fertomid 100mg. Today on CD13 Going to doctor to see if there are any follies.

Fantastic, I hope your appointment is fruitful! Mine is about a week away and.I'm getting more doubtful as days go by. Just got back from my HSG about an hour ago. Thankfully by tubes spill alright and my uterus is in good condition. One tube was slightly turned so the spillage looked odd , but it definitely worked

im sad to report that i have a fever now and im confused as to if it is connected to the HSG or my current cold.

ive had a cold for a while, and many children in my classroom were sent home with strep this week. i think that i have strep... but the forms all said to call a specific number if you have a fever.

i left a message but dont really expect a call back till the morning. i know these illnesses and the fever is going to reek havoc on the results for my follicles, as well as the IUI if it gets that far. sigh.

Oh no!! There has been a lot of stuff going around lately (at least here in Colorado that's true). Did they give you antibiotics to take in connection with the test?

Fingers crossed that this is a quick thing and does not mess up your entire cycle. If you don't do the IUI at least you still have better chances with the clomid right? Is it your first cycle on clomid too?

yeah it is my first cycle. im just afraid that the fevers and other things will mess up the clomid effect and they he will up my dose next month.... and then it will be in over drive and ill have to wait another month to redo the lower dose of clomid.

im pretty sure that my fever is cold related, i have no other symptoms at all. my stomach hurts but it is more just like muscle pains from too many sit ups and very very mild cramping. my back and body hurts a lot, so i may actually have just come down with the actual Flu. im going to try to get into my regular doctor monday.

i wasnt told to take any antibiotics before the test. on my 'fertility plan' there is a line for that and it has multiple medications (flagyl, doxy, ampicilian, and gentamycin) and dosages but i was not instructed to do that step.

i feel a bit better this morning at least. the fever isnt here which is a good thing. im checking my temp every hour just in case.

Edit : the doctor did call and said that my fever came on too soon for it to be HSG related, and to go see my doctor monday if im still very ill. they said Flu, and ear infection from my cold, or new onset of strep are the possibilities of the fever. Even in the last 10 minutes ive started to feel a lot better. still sick as a dog but much better than the last few hours!

Hi CanAmFam, how are you feeling now? When is your IUI? Any symptoms from the clomid? I have been feeling fine, just having some night sweats....it's a nice change from being cold all the time. I have not ovulated yet, been checking everyday since CD 8 in case it happens early with the clomid. Today is CD11.

im not sure how ive been reacting to the clomid. since ive been sick, ive just accredited all of my symptoms to that! i was feeling really big/ full/ bloated initially.

i had one night of a lot of cold sweats, that was sunday. i figured that i was just breaking a fever repeatedly. i see my regular doctor tomorrow to do some strep tests and get antibiotics of i am still sick. im a lot better than i was over the weekend thankfully, but still sick. you can hear it in my voice still. it has been too long! at least im functional now

my ultrasound is thursday in the morning. im hoping my body makes it to thursday before it ovulates by itself. ive done OPKs daily and so far all have been neg. not even faint lines. hurray!( well, IS that a hurray moment? could that mean my follicles are just blech ones? boo... )

so we are in near identical boats! let's hope we dont ovulate until we need to! did your doctor give you a time frame of when they think you may ovulate on the clomid? or is it just watch and wait now( not that you wouldn't watch and wait any how!).

im getting excited, but hoping to not get let down. if i am at least it will be one down and over with so i know what to expect.

My names Maria I also have pcos and we have been ttc for 1 & 1/2 years. Last year I had 4/5 rounds of clomid and it did not react with my body at all!
I've now been referred to a London hospital and today is day 1 of my first IUI!
I'm really excited but very nervous!
How are you finding IUI so far

so far, i find it nerve racking!
i go for my ultrasound tomorrow and im a bit nervous. im thinking nothing will show up, or that ill have too many follicles pop up! i may be more upset if there are too many since my cycle will get canceled and any possible natural pregnancy hope will be gone.

i got in from my regular doctor today who confirmed i do have strep throat, however my throat looks better than my lungs. i also have unexpected bronchitis ><

im starting some antibiotics that my specialist approved and hopefully ill be healthy in no time.

sorry to hear you have used clomid with out success so far. glad i can walk along this path with some other folks new to it, too. i wont feel so silly if i dont know something!

so last night and today, ive felt like my (lower) back was going to explode!

happy i have my ultrasound today and still crossing my fingers that i dont ovulate today-- before then! i was taking temperatures all week long and they started to go up yesterday. nothing drastic, but up. 2 days in a row up for me is not normal, so im guessing it is on its way. Took more OPKs and all were neg, thankfully. Just hoping i didnt miss the surge. 3 more hours until the check, and im going to try to ask the doctor the things i wanted to, if i can remember! i may even ask about doing the iui ( if im allowed with a low number of follies) tomorrow instead of saturday. Im sure my boss will love it.

Well boo for us. No follies that were even slightly big. Tons of eggs though!

The cycle has been canceled and I started provera again today.


Waiting for a new day one.

The plan now is cycle 2 , 150 mg clomid. For days 3-9. Two extra days and stronger dose . Days 1-14 taking dexo as an immuneosuppressant . Be believes my ovarries are fighting with me being sick and the medicine itself.

So no we'll wait and worry that this round will be overkill of drugs. At least a neat thing is we are on track for an 11.11.11 baby.

CanAmFam, so sorry to hear that your cycle was cancelled. Sounds like the changes for next cycle are promising. An 11-11-11 baby would be awesome!! I had not even considered that

I just got back from the FS and had my ultrasound. 2 follicles there (19mm and 20mm) and doc says I should ovulate sometime this weekend. Uterine lining looked nice and thick too which I was really worried about. So far so good, I'll keep you posted.

That is fantastic for you. I think ill have a party when I see any change in follicle size. I wish you good timing , and a not too crazy two week wait!
