Hi, anyone on CD14 and ovulation testing?? Also, I woke this am with back ache - left side, and cramping like period pain. Spotting. Wondering if it's ovulation pain and bleeding to do with that - I had similar last month - a week of brown discharge and then 2 weeks before my period.

If it is, and I'm ovulating - I feel weird about having sex if I may bleed!

Very confused and it's massively annoying me not knowing exactly what's going on.

Scrap that - this is more than spotting. A ton of blood just came out of me and very gloopy :( ... I came off the pill on 5th Feb, could this just be hormones trying to get back to normal still??? :/

Sheesh, IDK! I've never spotted, though I know many do..If the cramping or discomfort worsens I'd be tempted to get checked out. Is bleeding around ovulation time abnormal otherwise for you?

This web-page should help you, I think! :)

is it still brown or is it red blood? If its red, id say you somehow got a period. coming off the bcp can really effect your body.

Thanks so much guys. That web page definitely, DEFINITELY, is what I had last month - which is why I thought that was what it was today. But, I just don't know now. I think most definitely it has to do with my hormones being all over the shop because of the stupid pill.

Blood was dark this morn, then I passed a rather gross gloopy clot (sorry if tmi) and cramping all day, now it's red like a period, so think it must be. I did an ovt just in case and it was negative. I think I'll still do one the next couple of days and see and watch to see if the bleeding stops after a day or so like it says on that web page.

But, it's a real upset tbh, because I really thought after my last period all was well, and my fertility was good and now this has thrown me right off :(.

Really feel down in the dumps now.

Sorry to hear about that, Sam.

It sounds like it's 100% from coming off bc. My cycle was really, really off for the first month or two after coming off the pill. I would have 4 days of bleeding, 8 days off, then 5 days of bleeding, then 11 days off, then another 3 days of bleeding. It calmed down pretty quickly as my lady parts realized that I was kicking out my own hormones rather than swallowing them every day.

No worries!

Thanks so much. I know and expected my periods to be off but when you get positive ovulation tests it builds your hopes up doesn't it :(... it's always good to know others in similar situation. I think I'm more scared because, I have a rare disorder which made me very ill from 2006-2012 and I had secondary amenhorroea where your periods stop. I thought I'd messed up my fertility for life. Then met my husband and got well again, went on bc as we didn't want the pitter patter of tiny feet too soon, and then I got a tumour due to my skin disorder, which was removed in Jan 2013, I changed bc because my periods were all over the place, and it regulated everthing. Then, now we're ready to see how my cycles go and are ready to conceive I am worried again that my body just isn't doing what it should, EVEN THOUGH, my EB specialist, and dietician etc have all said my body has recovered from the 6 years and scans and cervical screens have all shown everything to be fine and I am doing EVERYTHING right to maintain a healthy weight, have the right supplements and prepare my body for a healthy pregnancy.

I am just probably freaking out over nothing and just need to wait a while for my cycles to regulate? But all my friends it seems are pregnant or have had children, and when I never thought I'd find 'the one' it seemed 'ok' but, now I have, I want a baby so much, there's no reason I can't, other than should there be something wrong with me or my hubby in that area, and I shoot myself for feeling jealous of those around me pregnant or with new babies - it's horrible. :(

Sorry for venting.

I think your signature is ace btw telling us your cycle lengths... I'm going to nab that if you don't mind :)

That's cool, I totally copied it from someone else first. :)

Good luck with TTC! I've found these forums so, so helpful to vent, freak out, ask questions, and get advice.

I was on BC for 15 years almost continuously, and I was a little worried about getting off of it too. I also somehow expected that I'd get pregnant right away, and while I'm trying to be patient, it's hard sometimes. Luckily I don't have many girlfriends IRL to begin with, and only one of them is pregnant right now. She was also taking a while and had to get on progesterone, so that gives me hope. :)
