Hi girls

Just after a bit of advice really, we are CD67 today, is there any point in still BDing every other day? Its really tiring and I am actually so down over the whole thing I could literally just sit and cry every day

Does anyone know how to bring on AF or why it is like this out of the blue? Longest ever cycle before this was 39 and that was just after coming off the pill at the start!

if you are over 2 weeks late you need to see your doctor. Please don't take anything to bring AF based on some advice on the internet.
I hope you find out soon xx

Thanks monalisa81, should of mentioned I have seen him, he doesn't want to know, he told me to go away and just wait it out x

Hey honey :flower:

I'm no expert, but wanted to share that in the last 3 years, I have had 2 missed periods, as in 2 cycles that were over 50 and 60 days.

It worried me at the time, but they evened out after that. I think it's completely normal for this to happen on rare occasions.

I'm not sure if you should keep BDing, but whether or not you are fertile right now sounds like you could do with taking a short break, relaxing and generally giving yourself some TLC. Easing of the pressure may also bring on AF, and by taking a small break you and your OH would have more fun BDing!

I hope it all gets easier soon! :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Thank you! You actually don't know how much your words have helped me feel better! were you ttc when you skipped 2 cycles? so was there any reason for them to be missed...medical I mean or is everything okay and it was just "one of those things" You saying you think it can be completly normal for this to happen on rare occasions has set my mind at ease...thank you! I really hope this is the case for me :hugs::hugs:

How are you getting on with ttc?

I'm glad I could help :hugs:

We were not TCC when I skipped my cycles, but I have always wanted kids, so it really worried me at the time. I have read that it is normal for women to have 1 anovulatory cycle per year. All this means is that for some reason or other, you may not have ovulated that cycle.

For me, it was just one of those things. I decided not to go to the doctor and to wait and see what happened the next month. What I kept thinking was that generally in nature, things have a rhythm, but it is not always so predictable. For example trees may produce fruit late, some times they may not produce fruit and so on...which made me think that it is the same with our bodies

My cycles are a bit irregular (27-31) generally, but sometimes 35 or 32 which I think is pretty normal. Unless you have very long cycles regularly don't worry! /do you chart? That may help see the patterns too.

It's actually our second month TCC :happydance: OH is finally ready!

Feel free to message me if you ever want to chat! :hugs:

Thanks monalisa81, should of mentioned I have seen him, he doesn't want to know, he told me to go away and just wait it out x

:saywhat: What kind of a doctor is that? My advice is to see another doctor.

My cycles are all over the place (shortest since off bcp last July was 41 days, longest somewhere around 77 days)... but one cycle, that lasted about 6 weeks, my hubby and I dtd nearly EVERY DAY! That was before I really researched and figured out the best way to go about things. Now I know some people dtd every day, but when you are doing it for ttc (and work 12 hrs/day and are exhausted!) it does get monotonous and tiring...

You can do every other day! There IS a point to doing it when your body is unpredictable, but I would also agree with monalisa about getting a new doctor!

Hi Monalisa...I know!!! it is ridiculous isn't it! that was my GP I ended up running out of his office in tears whilst he was mid sentence! how rude I know but I had been to him several times and he was looking at me as if i was an imbocile! He actually said to me "what do I want him to do about it?" and when I said what I wanted he just said NO! He won't help us, he won't refer us on to FS....nothing!

Totally understand! we also work very long hours and it does get monotonous and very tiring! I have been lifted by thought that it could be just skipping a period....I really hope this is the case and there is nothing more underlying! Thanks for the reply :flower:

Thanks popcorn! what you say makes total sense! I am such a panicker, just worrying something more sinister is wrong, I really hope I return to some sort of normality when AF finally shows, I have thought about charting but thought it would just cause more stress!! Maybe it would be good to try and see a pattern, why oh why can't it just happen? Just stop taking your pill, have unprotected sex and wham were pregnant!! after all thats what we were taught in school!! lol

Good luck with TTC, stay in touch x :hugs:

Lily you NEED a new Doctor ASAP!!! That is awful! CD67 & he isnt giving you any help.....you need to find a Doctor who is willing & able to help you darling! God I would have torn him apart if he said that to me! My last AF was 11 days late....called my GP at 9 days late & BFN & he said if I got to 14 days late & still BFN he would give me something to bring on AF!!!

A change of Doctor would also put your mind at ease pet :hugs:

Thanks Marcsmrs I asked him to give me something to induce AF and he said no plain and simple! He also said he wasn't able to prescribe anything, that would have to be prescribed by a FS (what a load of ****) but he forgets he also told me he wasn't able to carry out any blood tests when I first asked him for them in January this year and wa-la here we are getting CD3 and CD21 bloods done as soon as AF arrives! I have made an appt with the family planning clinic to see if they will be of any more use than my GP is. I am still praying popcorn is right and my body has just skipped a period which would make me due on tomorrow as my last cpl were 33 days.

I can't believe your doc tells you if your more than 14 days late you can have something and my doc tells me to politely go away!! I thought they are supposed to follow the same procedures!!! They are more interested in saving money and keeping within their budget than helping the patient! (imo) xx
