In my last pregnancy which was a twin one I dilated 5cm at 21 weeks with membranes bulging. At the time they thought I would miscarry but after 5 days of no changes they decided to try a cervical stitch. The stitch was successful but I got an infection at 25 weeks which triggered labour.
I am now 14 weeks pregnant with a singleton this time and the consultant has said they will do cervical scans fortnightly from 16 weeks - 22 weeks. I am not comfortable with them stopping at 22 weeks because a 21 week twin pregnancy isn't the same as a 21 week singleton. I know they won't put stitches in after 22 weeks at my hospital but at least by checking I would know to go on bed rest if there was any funnelling.
If you have had or are getting cervical scans at what gestation are you having them too?
